My 11 year old son, his mate and I headed out to take on our first ever mountain bike trail. It was a brilliant day. The pea gravel was tricky, but as we were first timers doing this, we were travelling quite slow through the tracks. We started off randomly from the car park but after about 40mins of riding aimlessly we arrived at the Langford Park Information Sign. From there we were set. We did stop for a toilet break, however the amenities at the main car park were occupied by a massive bee hive. Fortunately there are other amenities a short drive down the road opposite the local skate park.Tips from what we learnt:1. Follow the pavement path from the car park, up the hill. This will take you to the information sign where you can choose your tracks.2. Take plenty of water, and some snacks. You don’t want to leave early because you got hungry or ran out of water.3. Take your time and enjoy yourself. It is a really beautiful place.4. Take a camera5. If Mountain Biking, pack a tyre repair kit. Our day ended with my sons mate getting a puncture after jumping off a black track drop off.6. Be mindful of wildlife and insects. We had wasps occupying the first section of car park, and the bees occupying the toilets. This is their home, we respected that and just stayed clear of those areas.I hope this helps.Cheers

Nice easy to follow trails, and plenty of ride arounds for the tricky stuff if you are not confident. Can do every trail in a few hours and knock out a few extra Strava sections as well. Toilets are easy access and plenty of parking.

Great mountainbike trails. Easy access from southern suburbs. Easier trails like Woodleys are good for getting kids going on single trail

Quite a nice park situated on the edge of the historic Jarrahdale township. Popular with hikers and MTB riders, there’s a variety of trails of varying degrees of difficulty and length that are reasonably well marked, ( I would recommend Trailforks or AllTrails though ). I visited midweek and it was pretty much myself and the Kangaroos, but I believe it’s a bit more lively throughout the weekend.

Lovely walking trails in a very quiet bush setting. Public toilets are easily accessible and disabled access also. Picnic tables and bbq facilities are also plentiful

Beautiful place at our doorstep. Easy mtb trails and fire trails. Good for walking too. Alcoa did a great job at regenerating this place and turning it into a park.

Nicely marked MTB trails. Blue and green trails suitable for the kids. Some good flowing single track, not particularly technical.
